What material are fascia boards made from?

All full-replacement fascia boards are manufactured from solid uPVC that is rot-proof, warp-resistant and completely maintenance-free.

Do I have to remove my old timber fascias?

No—our 16 mm full-replacement boards are strong enough to be fixed straight to rafters without a timber backing. If your existing timber is sound and you simply want a face-lift, choose the 9 mm capping board range, which is designed to cap over the old fascia.

Are the boards strong enough to support gutters and tiles?

Yes. Full-replacement boards are BBA-certified and specifically engineered to carry both the bottom roof tiles and a full gutter run without additional backing.

Do uPVC fascia boards need painting or regular upkeep?

No—once fitted they are completely maintenance-free: just wipe with soapy water if they become dirty; they will not peel, flake or require repainting.

Can I install them myself?

The boards are suitable for competent DIYers as well as trade installers; lightweight uPVC makes them easy to handle and quick to fit.
