Dry verge systems provide a secure, low-maintenance finish along the exposed edges of a pitched roof. Instead of relying on traditional mortar, the verge components are mechanically fixed to help protect the roof edge while creating a neat and consistent appearance.
Our dry verge range includes individual universal verge units and continuous dry verge systems for different roof coverings. We also stock the supporting components needed to complete an installation, including starter packs, joints and ridge end caps.
Choosing the Right Dry Verge System
Universal dry verge units are individual overlapping sections designed to finish the edge of a tiled roof. Their universal design allows the same unit to be used on either side of the roof, helping simplify ordering and installation.
Continuous dry verge is supplied in longer sections and is available for compatible concrete-tile and slate roofs. Tile and slate systems use different profiles and joining components, so it is important to select the correct system for the roof covering.
Dry Verge Components
A complete dry verge installation may require several components:
-
Verge units or continuous verge sections to cover the roof edge
-
A starter unit or starter pack at the bottom of the verge
-
Joints to connect continuous verge sections
-
A ridge end cap to finish the system at the roof apex
Half-round and angled ridge end caps are available to suit different ridge-tile profiles.
Before Ordering
Dry verge compatibility varies according to the roof tile or slate profile and the system already installed. Check the shape and dimensions of the roof covering and confirm that all starter, joint and finishing components belong to the same dry verge system before ordering.
