Shower & Bathroom Panels FAQs

Choosing Shower & Bathroom Panels

Are your shower and bathroom panels waterproof?

Yes. The shower and bathroom panels in this range are waterproof and designed for bathroom walls, shower areas and wet spaces. The finished result still depends on the panels being fitted and sealed correctly, especially around corners, joins, edges and trays.

Can bathroom panels be used instead of tiles?

Yes. Bathroom and shower panels are commonly used instead of tiles because they create a clean wall finish without traditional grout lines. In many cases, they can also be fitted over existing tiles, provided the tiles are sound, clean and suitable to fix onto.

Do I need to remove old tiles before fitting shower panels?

Not always. If the existing tiles are secure, flat and in good condition, panels can often be fitted over the top, which can make the job quicker and cleaner than removing all the old tiles first.

Which panel type should I choose?

It depends on your room, budget and the finish you like. Think about the colour, panel size, board style and how many joins you are happy with. The wider 1m panels are thicker and more robust, while narrower panels can be easier to handle in smaller spaces.

Planning, Ordering & Support

What is the difference between shower panels and bathroom panels?

It is mostly terminology. “Shower panels” usually refers to the wider panels used in shower areas, often around 1m wide. “Bathroom panels” is the broader term for panels used across bathroom walls, shower areas, splash zones and full bathroom refurb projects.

Are 1m shower panels better than narrow panels?

1m shower panels are usually thicker, wider and more robust, with fewer joins across the wall. They are a strong choice for shower enclosures and larger bathroom walls. Narrow panels can still work well where easier handling, smaller spaces or a different board style is preferred.

Can you help me work out what I need for my fencing project?

Yes. If you are unsure which boards, posts or accessories are right for your project, our team can help point you in the right direction before you order.

Do you offer collection and delivery?

Yes. You can collect from our Brighouse showroom, and local delivery is available depending on your order and location.
