FAQs

A fascia capping board, also known as a cap-over board, is a 9mm thick uPVC board designed to cover existing timber fascia boards. It provides a protective, low-maintenance, and aesthetically pleasing finish, shielding the underlying wood from weather elements and eliminating the need for regular painting.

Capping boards are ideal when your existing timber fascia is structurally sound and free from rot. They offer a cost-effective solution to refresh the appearance of your roofline without the need for complete removal and replacement. If the existing fascia is damaged or deteriorated, a full replacement fascia board is recommended.

Yes, our capping boards are designed for ease of installation and are suitable for both professional installers and competent DIY enthusiasts. They are lightweight and can be fixed directly over existing fascia boards using appropriate fixings.

uPVC capping boards are low-maintenance. To keep them looking their best, simply clean them periodically with a mild detergent and water to remove any dirt or debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or tools that could scratch the surface.
