Guttering Systems FAQ's

1) What’s the difference between 68mm round and 65mm square downpipe systems?

They do the same job and are interchangeable in use—the main difference is the look. Round is the most common, traditional style. Square has a cleaner, more modern finish and is often chosen to match square-line guttering.

2) What fittings do I need to install a downpipe run?

Most installs need a running outlet from the gutter, downpipe lengths, brackets/clips, offsets (bends) to clear the wall or soffit, and a shoe or outlet at the bottom. If you’re replacing a section, match the existing profile and colour first.

3) How do I choose a cast iron effect downpipe system?

Cast iron effect is mainly chosen for the traditional look, often on period-style properties. It’s designed to give the appearance of cast iron with an easy-fit PVC system, with matching fittings to keep the finish consistent.
